JEFFREY NEVE INTERIOR DESIGN

Frame 1.jpg

BEDROOM: DOUBLE STANDARD, ROOM #11

Version 1: (Hanna’s edits)

Double Standard explores the tension between inherited tradition and personal interpretation. Inspired by Jeffrey’s dog-eared copy of The Official Preppy Handbook and its codes of style and structure, as well as the stylized world of the film Rushmore, this room reflects his ongoing fascination with heritage and how it evolves. He is drawn to the discipline of classic design but equally to the moment when those rules are reconsidered and made personal.

This room is how Jeffrey sees a classic boys’ bedroom growing up. These twin beds represent more than symmetry. They suggest two young men on the verge of independence, leaving home for college and stepping into their own point of view. It honors what they’ve grown up with, but it also makes room for who they’re becoming.

JACK + JILL BATHROOM, ROOM #12

Version 1: (Hanna’s edits)

When Jeffrey first saw Josephine Munsey’s Whimsical Clumps, he didn’t see a bathroom; he saw atmosphere. The pattern feels painterly and alive, full of movement and quiet humor. Munsey, a UK designer, hand-draws her patterns from years of personal sketchbooks, drawing inspiration from travel, exhibitions, her mother’s collection of ferns, and the woods surrounding her studio. You can feel that sense of nature and imagination in the pattern, which is exactly what drew Jeffrey to it.

That felt like the right starting point for a Jack and Jill bath shared between two rooms. It also connects naturally to the spirit of the bedroom beyond, where classic ideas are interpreted with a lighter touch. Once the wallpaper was in place, the rest of the room came together to support it. Saffron Beata Heuman sconces add a playful punch of color, while the vanity, with its exaggerated feet and curved backsplash, introduces a sense of character and charm.

It’s a room about equilibrium. Pattern and structure. Ornament and restraint. Two perspectives meeting comfortably in the middle.

And it all started with that wallpaper.

JEFFREY NEVE INTERIOR DESIGN

A California native with a global perspective, Jeffrey Neve brings a layered, thoughtful approach to every project. His interiors are rich with color, texture, and meaning—each one tailored to reflect the lives of the people who live there. Known as a design chameleon, Jeffrey’s work doesn’t follow a formula; instead, he listens carefully, collaborates closely, and crafts homes that feel personal, refined, and beautifully livable.

Before founding Jeffrey Neve Interior Design in 2017, Jeffrey honed his eye for detail and style during his early career as a fashion executive at Nordstrom, followed by years working with two respected Bay Area design firms. His deep knowledge of both design and construction allows him to guide clients seamlessly through the process—from big-picture vision to the smallest finishing touch. His work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, California Home + Design, HGTV, and Diablo Magazine, earning him a reputation for creating imaginative, balanced spaces with heart.

THE SAN FRANCISCO DECORATOR SHOWCASE

The San Francisco Decorator Showcase began in 1977, when the late Nan Rosenblatt — a University High School parent and accomplished interior designer — and Philip Fernandez, the first president of the school’s Parents Association, envisioned an event that would bring the design community together in support of education. In its first year, the Showcase raised $26,000, laying the foundation for a legacy that continues to transform lives. Over nearly five decades, the event has united the Bay Area’s most visionary designers, artists, and craftspeople, raising over $21 million to benefit the University High School Financial Aid Program.

This year’s event will be held at 2935 Pacific Avenue in Pacific Heights. The elegant 9,400 sq. ft. home features a stunning 2,150 sq. ft. rooftop deck with breathtaking city and bay views. The home will be open to the public from April 25 through May 25, 2026. Tickets may be purchased here, with all proceeds benefitting San Francisco University High School’s financial aid program.
