GARDEN OF ERDEM - Guest Bedroom
This gracious guest bedroom was conceived as a mini-retreat for overnight visitors to escape their daily surroundings and be indulged with classic, elegant luxury. It showcases a fresh traditional style that is both uplifting and collected with nothing staid or stuffy about it. The inspiration for the room began with an exquisite hand painted wallpaper designed in a collaboration between de Gournay and fashion designer Erdem Moralioglu. Its design depicts a Chinoiserie pattern with a scene of nature in full bloom on a vibrant imperial yellow ground.
A timeless blue and white canopy bed provides an air of old world charm to pamper guests. It is turned sideways in the room to feel more like a luxurious daybed, and to provide ample space for a seating area inviting guests to relax and unwind from the day. The adjoining bathroom continues the garden theme but in a more subdued way. This space features a delicate ivy patterned wallpaper that we designed in collaboration with de Gournay. The vanity’s custom trellis detail further echoes the room’s ethereal garden theme.

ABOUT DINA BANDMAN
Dina Bandman always knew she wanted to be an interior designer, but her path to design was anything but ordinary. While earning her J.D. degree in New York, Dina realized that she wanted to pursue her passion for interior design. She enrolled at the Art Institute to earn her simultaneous degree in Interior Design and has never looked back.
Known for her bold yet traditional aesthetic and exquisite collaborations with de Gournay, Dina’s style embraces all of the influences of the places she's been lucky to call home -- New York Traditional, California Cool, Southern Charm, and Miami Art Deco. With unparalleled attention to detail, scale and proportion, she prides herself on her ability to merge disparate styles and create designs with personalities as individual as her clients. Although based in San Francisco, Dina’s projects span the 4 corners of the US with projects in New York, Tampa and Seattle.
The veteran of five Decorator Showcases, her award-winning designs have been featured in numerous publications including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Veranda, Traditional Home, Luxe Magazine, California Homes, Modern Luxury Interiors, Gentry Home, Nob Hill Gazette, and Marin Magazine.
When not designing (which is rare), Dina enjoys reading New York Times best sellers on her Kindle and going on walks with her intrepid schmorkie, Gypsy.
